Help to Stop AIDS
♫ Tuesday, March 1st, 2011One problem with aids is that a victim of AIDS virus do not develop symptoms after getting infected with HIV. HIV as we all know causes AIDS when the virus destroys much of the body’s immune system. Some may get sick, a flu for a week, headache, tiredness and usually disappears within a week. So its hard to tell whether you are already infected with HIV or not. One of the most common information that we have is that HIV can be acquired through blood transfusion and sexual contact. But that’s about it. We hardly know a thing or two about AIDS. All we know is that there is still no permanent cure for it.
Initial infection might not show any symptoms at all. It often varies from person to person. And this condition may last from a few weeks to more than 10 years! During this time, the virus continues to grow rapidly and increase in number. It gradually destroys our immune system, or our system that fights bacterias and protects our body from getting sick. Now with our immune system weakening, a person with HIV can have one or several symptoms: Lack of energy, soaking night sweats, chronic diarrhea, persistent white body spots, headaches, weight loss, skin rashes and distorted vision. If this symptoms are readily visible, then one should immediately see a doctor.
As members of the society, we should do our part to help in disseminating information on how to stop AIDS. By spreading information about how to protect oneself from getting AIDS, we might be able to decrease the spreading of the disease. Supporting AIDS victims can lessen the feeling of isolation and that there is still hope for AIDS victims. There are a lot of charitable institutions that support research for possible AIDS cure. You can make money donations or used car donations, anything that can help support this charities will be appreciated.
